For all our translation types you can chose an accelerated procedure and even pre-press preparation.
Our prices are determined by a number of factors including language combination, document length, priority level, text type and layout. Before preparing a quotation, it is imperative that we see the document in every case in order to analyse it according to the criteria above. We handle all the texts made available to us with confidentiality.
According to international practice, our agency recommends the number of source words (in the document to be translated) as the basis for settlement, as accepted throughout Europe and also in line with Proford (The Hungarian Association of Professional Language Service Providers) recommendations. With a source word count the translation cost is clearly defined in the quotation.
Our agency uses memoQ, one of the most modern programs available today, for analysing and processing the documents to be translated. Using this we are able to determine, among other things, whether there are repetitive units or segments of text in a document. As it is unnecessary to translate these multiple times, thanks to the software, we can also offer reduced prices. Instead of the full translation fee, we charge a mere 30% for the repetitive segments. Whenever we are asked for quotations, we always analyse the repetitions within texts to be translated in order to offer the most favourable price.
In order to offer our regular customers an additional discount, we analyse not only the current source document, but we also compare this with previously translated texts to determine the correspondence between the texts and to calculate the discounts based on this.
In the case of a normal priority translation, 1 500 words per day will be translated. This corresponds to approx. 7 average pages.
Our clients may ask for an accelerated procedure, which means the translation of 2300 words per day (approx. 10 pages per translator), and may even include weekend work. This may also involve the situation when, on special agreement with the client, the same job is assigned to a number of translators. In this case our experts work concurrently on the translation, while continuously coordinating the terminology and style.
By simple editing, we mean reinserting pictures, tables, figures and equations into the translation, and this forms part of our basic translation service.
Our agency is also prepared to accept jobs involving complex editing such as digitising, or the reediting and titling of figures and pictures.
We also welcome publication editing jobs from our partners: from translation to pre-press design.

Basic terminology
The transformation of a written text (from the source language) into another language (the target language) in written form, in order to express the same meaning.
Translation related to social science, natural science, technology or economics, carried out by a qualified translator.
Reviewing the translation by checking the form and the completeness of the text, paying attention to the presence and proper arrangement of every text section, picture, figure and table, to ensure that the appearance of these is identical with the original. This also involves a final spellcheck.
Checking the translation for correct grammar and style by collating the source and target texts, in accordance with the requirements of the living language, as well as checking the technical terms in the translation based on the system of expressions used in modern science and technology. Depending on the usage of the translated documents, we deem it important to draw our clients’ attention to our proofreading service, as besides the translator and the project manager, the individual sections of the source and target language texts are compared by a proofreader, paying attention to the deficiencies of the translation, to grammar and style, and to the correct and consistent usage of technical terms.
Besides proofreading for language use, the translation is also checked for company-specific terminology by an expert familiar with the given field.
Based on the Cabinet ruling 24/1986. (VI.26.) in Hungary today, certified translations and certification of translations may only be done by the Hungarian Office for Translation and Attestation. There are exceptions, however. Based on the 2009 amendment to the Cabinet ruling 24/1986. (VI.26.) on professional translation and interpretation, “those with qualifications as professional translators or professional proofreaders are also authorised to produce certified translations of extracts from the trade register, as well as certified translations of data and company documents to be entered into the trade register, into any official language of the European Union, according to the company’s choice.” Our translation agency may thus produce certified translations of articles of association, copies of specimen signatures, extracts from the trade register, minutes of general meetings, deeds of association and other official documents.
We produce official, endorsed translations of personal documents, e.g. birth, marriage and death certificates, diplomas, school certificates, medical findings, contracts, CVs, etc. The endorsed documents are accepted in many organisations (employment agencies, further education institutions, etc.), but before placing an order it is better to make enquiries from the host institution.
In the translation process, we concentrate not only on the accuracy of the translation, but also on the target audience for which the material is produced. Different countries place diverse cultural and economic demands on the completed translation. When localising documents, we also take into consideration the peculiarities of the end-user market.
A translation edited for language use and technical considerations is proofread after page-setting. We can even prepare the completed documents for you in the form of source files ready for press.
